Plot introduction

上世纪20年代，新加坡富家女美玲（范文芳 饰）邂逅了一位受伤的美国人理查德（菲利浦•布化尼克迈耶 Philippe Brenninkmeyer 饰）在她的细心照料下，理查德的身体逐渐恢复，两人双双堕入爱河。阿妈（郑佩佩 饰）劝小姐不要动情，因为她出身名门，况且有婚事在身。但美玲还是决定跟爱人私奔。不想，理查德却不辞而别，只留下一份信，此时美玲发现自己怀孕了…… 多年后，美国绅士吉登陪同母亲逛珠宝店时，遇到了一位亚裔女子和旋（李美琪 Maggie Q 饰），她佩戴着其父生前的钻戒。母亲见此怒不可遏，称其为贼，并报警。在警局里，绅士觉得女子事出蹊跷，因此将此事化解，两人开始了进一步的交往…… 本片根据著名作家Barbara Woods的畅销书《完美的旋律》改编，由新加坡及德国联合投资，制作费高达三千多万港元，被誉为“亚洲版查泰莱夫人的情人”。  Expand All
