本片是2019年春节档收视排第十一名的《战狼犬》原班人马精心打造的催泪大片。影片主要讲述性格倔强的退伍军人老正在村民的大铁锅下救下一只流浪狗，本来经济拮据还替它看病，遭到了儿子春生、儿媳秋燕的抵触，全村人的不理解。狗狗用行动化解了误解，赢得了大家的喜爱，最终众人还发现了老正收养狗狗背后的惊天大秘密。
